To say that I admire the Red Arrows is the understatement of the year, I looooooooooove the Red Arrows. I have loved them for almost forty years, ever since my father took me to my first airshow at Prestwick Airport.

Seeing these crimson darts streaking across the sky, performing maneuvers that required inch perfect precision, you cannot help but admire these people who are so dedicated, skilled and are quite simply the best in the world.

When I was about 10 years old my dad bought me a limited edition print of the Red Arrows at the airshow onto which every single pilot had signed their name with pencil. This print was my most prized possession for over a decade as these guys are my rock stars.

And I still get the same buzz from seeing them today as I did then.

This shot was taken at the Scottish International Airshow at Ayr Beach, 2016. The Reds are in their ‘Typhoon’ formation, a formation created specifically to celebrate the production of the Eurofighter Typhoon.
