On the banks of Loch Lomond at Milarrochy Bay sits one of the most famous and most photographed trees in all of Scotland. It’s so popular infact that it’s a very rare occasion you get the shore and the tree all to yourself, there are usually four or five other people there taking photographs and all of them competing for the same location/composition. So it’s slightly ironic that a scene such as this which evokes great feelings of peace and tranquility is actually quite chaotic behind the lens.
That said it’s always nice to go there and to be surrounded by your peers. Whether they be local or tourists, we are all there for the same thing, to take a photograph of an iconic scene and there is a deep feeling of camaraderie whenever I go there.
